~ Bishop Elvina E. Miller, D.D. ~

Bishop Elvina E. Miller, the founder and president of Deliverance Temple, Inc. and the Oasis of Love Church in Shippensburg, PA, is perhaps better known around the world as Sister Miller.

Due to complications in her early fight for life, doctors told her mother she would never raise her. However, God protected this tiny, five pound baby girl until the day she could bring forth God's beautiful plan for her life.

Today, Dr. Miller is a mother of two, but is described as having more spiritual children around the world than she can count. Truly a missionary at heart, Rev. Miller has ministered extensively in Africa, Europe, South and Central America,
the Caribbean, Australia, Canada and the Far East.

Dr. Miller has also been used by God to set churches in order at home and abroad, proving that our God is most powerful in all His doings. At the Oasis of Love Church in Shippensburg, she mothers many young men and women, nurturing them in the things of the Lord so they, too, can mature and extend their arms to others hurting and in need.

Her first book, Captured in Africa, has stirred the hearts of many around the world with its inspiring message of how "one can make a difference." God has recently opened doors for her to establish the Oasis International Training Centre in Prampram, Ghana, West Africa, the village where she was captured in the early 1950's.

Bishop Miller completed her second book, Under The Mango Tree Eating Its Fruit, in 2005. It describes an exciting history of more than 70 years of mission work in Ghana, including a brief history of some of the early churches there.

Bishop Miller is truly a mother in Zion, bringing the solitary into families. Through her ministry, many lives that were once broken are now mended and God is raising up an army among them.
